Iraq Energy Institute is proud to partner with The Energy Institute on their upcoming International Energy Week 2022 to be held from 22-24 February 2022 in London, United Kingdom. The Energy Institute is a Royal chartered, not-for-profit professional membership body that brings together expertise from all over the energy sector globally. As a non-profit research-oriented organization, Iraq Energy Institute exerts efforts to expand avenues of cooperation for our members and energy sector professionals in Iraq. This partnership comes in line with these goals.

The International Energy Week 2022 will be the energy industry’s first global meeting to assess the outcomes of COP26 alongside the continuing recovery of the COVID-19 pandemic. This conference builds on the renowned legacies and strengths of The Energy Institute’s world-renowned IP Week, bringing together senior figures from across oil, gas, and the wider world of energy, to explore the changing technologies, business models, and skills required to meet the energy needs of the world’s populations and to hit global net-zero emissions by 2050. In support of the event, Iraq Energy Institute will also be sending delegates to the event.

Speakers will include Patrick Pouyanné, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of TotalEnergies, Claudio Descalzi, Chief Executive Officer at Eni, and Martin O’Neill, Vice President of Strategy at GE Gas Power. The event will also see speeches from government officials including The Rt Hon Kwasi Kwarteng MP, Secretary of State at the Department for Business of the UK government and the Secretary-General of the Commonwealth, The Rt Hon Patricia Scotland QC. The event’s full agenda is available online and Iraq Energy Institute’s members are entitled to a 20% discount (Code: IEIEW22) as part of our partnership with The Energy Institute.

The Iraq Energy Institute is also looking forward to welcoming The Energy Institute and its members to our upcoming 6th Iraq Energy Forum (IEF 2022) as a partner. The IEF is planned to be held in Baghdad in the upcoming months.
